Going for a walk through the neighborhood was intense- tons of leaves everywhere... hoping they quickly get picked up for backyard composting efforts. Seeing organics in trash cans is painful...shredding the contents of these will easily cover a household composting effort through the winter. Get to it!
I love this one! I wonder how old it is. Rusty metal barrel with plastic sides, metal stand and clever air vents. It's pretty large- If it's kept up, I'm sure it does a good job making compost.

I'd like to obtain one of these and compost it in the backyard. How hot would the pile need to be, or will this break down like anything else? So far, composting bioplastics has been a bust for backyard composters, but maybe this is the ticket.
