Paired with the fruit fly trap, it's easy to keep your kitchen pests to a minimum.

Fermenter Used as a Compost Bin?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gsx8P5tOPzk I was thinking today about how long I've been using the same kitchen food scrap collector- what else is out there? Compost crocks with charcoal filters aren't worth your time.  The Yukchuk is pretty decent, but the Sure-Close has a wider mouth to dump food scraps into and is easier to clean. What other decent containers are there? This threaded bucket is a nice alternative- although it's airtight, it seems reasonable. If you need 4 gallons of capacity per week, maybe this will work well for you.  I'd avoid getting one with a spigot on the side. While we're at it, why not just get a 5 gallon bucket with a Gamma Lid?
