While I don’t have a lawnmower (or a lawn), I use a Worx leaf shredder to store my leaves for winter- this cover material/carbon source is crucial for extending composting efforts through the colder months.
While shredding leaves isn’t required, it makes the composting process and the finished results ten times better- seriously!
