As the rain and colder temperatures come into play, it becomes more important to fluff up your compost pile with cover materials.
This pile is still mostly leaves with all my food scraps cooking away in the middle- remember to always add your food scraps to the center!
Compost piles crave moisture- the pile will be extra toasty in the morning from all the rain today… I added another couple inches of leaves on top to bulk it up some more.
