I did find it interesting that he supports putting all animal waste (including pet waste) in the compost.  Parasites found in dog/cat feces seems to be a hot issue for serious gardeners working with specialized plants.  I think that as long as the compost is actually finished, using it as a topdressing at minimum would be fine.

Composting urine…what do you think?

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbHCqFIXLYk It's pretty simple... urine is high in nitrogen.  When applied properly, you're helping the C:N ratio quite heavily.  Have you ever created a compost pile and your end result had huge gobs of what was once food (mostly nitrogen)?  This is a handy way to add heaps of nitrogen without having annoying clumps in the finished product. While I've never really thought specifically about composting urine, I love peeing outside as much as possible.  So technically I'm already contributing, I guess.  I highly doubt it will take long for me to fill up a few gallon jugs, so it's time to find out.  By the time I have these ready, it should be time to start building a new compost pile.  Keep in mind that they will build up…
