Where did this mold in the kitchen composter come from?
When the food scrap collector gets overly full and isn’t emptied enough, mold may start to form.
I got lazy and let this one go for over two weeks (empty it weekly!), and there you have it… full of fuzz and the bottom of the container is a bit warm too.
It’s no problem for your compost pile though- all the microorganisms in there will make quick work of it.
