“not suitable for home composting” – I’m glad they put that on their cup.

Composting BPA cups at home ain’t happening- they need sustained extremely high temperatures in order to break it down.

The problem is that even the large scale composting facilities don’t want bioplastics either, and for good reason- they’re difficult to break down fully and the little pieces can end up in the finished compost.
