https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26WDrW_oIY8 I tend to agree here- personally I don't like to turn my compost because I'm not in a rush to have finished compost. There's not one answer for getting the best results... it's more about the materials you're working with. That being said, he mentions wood a bunch... I would suggest avoiding wood chips. If you want high carbon materials that break down well, go with sawdust and leaves.

His tips are solid, although I disagree when he advises against adding meat and dairy to his pile... he would have no issues composting those things, and he does acknowledge that. Instead, why not say... "Ensure your pile is a cubic yard or greater in size. Add twice as much cover material as food scraps." In other words, follow his instructions and you'll be all set! Composting's not hard- don't be afraid. :)
